A new healthcare facility has opened its doors in the same location as a former Edmond doctor, arrested for sexual battery.

Immediate Care of Oklahoma issued a press release on Wednesday, trying to clear up any confusion or apprehension the public might have with their new location, located at 1265 E. 33rd St. in Edmond.

The location's former occupant, Dr. Medhat Michael, surrendered his license on March 6, 2014 and agreed never to reapply for another. At least two of his former employees accused the doctor of touching them inappropriately and using sexually explicit language.

Michael's medical practice, known as Best Care Medical, closed at the beginning of Jan. 2013. Immediate Care of Oklahoma opened its location there in March 2013.

The release from Immediate Care of Oklahoma went on to state that Michael is not currently nor has previously been associated with the organization.
