Firefighters Contain Grass Fire In Mustang

Firefighters have contained a large grass fire in Mustang.

The fire broke out just after 3 p.m. Monday at S.W. 59th Street and Mustang Road. Mustang and Oklahoma City firefighters both responded where the fire burned quickly to the northeast. 

Several homes were threatened but firefighters kept the flames from reaching the homes. However, one structure, some sort of outbuilding or shop behind one home, was destroyed by the fire.

No injuries are reported.
