A former Logan County reserve deputy was arrested after being accused of raping a nursing home resident.

The suspect, 45-year-old John Wesley Tucker of Guthrie, was a reserve deputy with the Logan County Sheriff's office. But he was terminated in 2009.

Tucker was later employed as an LPN at the Crescent Care Center.

A resident at the Crescent Care Center reported to authorities that on July 12, 2013, Tucker sexually assaulted her when she was asleep, according to an affidavit released on Friday.

On December 30, 2013, investigators found out that the DNA sample taken from the victim's body matched Tucker's DNA.

Tucker initially denied the allegations. However, when investigators confronted him with the DNA report, Tucker admitted to the allegations, but said it was all consensual.

Tucker was taken into custody on one count of rape by instrumentation.
