LAWTON, Oklahoma -

Police arrested an Oklahoma City woman who is accused of stabbing a man in Lawton early Wednesday morning.

According to Lawton police, officers responded to the report of a stabbing in the 5500 block of N.W. Cache Road. When they arrived at the scene, they found a 20-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect, 22-year-old Michelle Tubby of Oklahoma City, left the scene after the incident. But she returned and told officers who she was and what she had done.

Tubby was taken into custody on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon.

According to police, the case is being prepared to submit to the District Attorney's office. Until a decision is made, police say they will not release any information concerning the motive or actions of the suspect.
