Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

Highs will climb into the mid 50s today with sunny skies.

Tonight, cloud cover moves back in keeping lows in the mid and upper 30s for most of the state, but it will be colder along the Oklahoma Kansas border with lows right around 32°.

As another storm system passes by to our north, we could have some light rain overnight tonight with best chances from Ponca City to Tulsa to Miami. Only a 30% chance of a few light showers in the OKC Metro.

There is some concern about light icing on the bridges and overpasses for the region shaded in purple as temperateness will be very close to freezing. The precipitation will move out by mid morning and highs on Friday will climb into the 60s.

Saturday, arctic air arrives late with highs struggling to make it to the mid 50s. There will be an opportunity for drizzle and light rain Saturday as our next storm arrives. Precip chances go up Saturday night into Sunday as temperatures continue to drop through the day Sunday.

Rain will change to freezing rain, sleet, and even some snow on Sunday. Ice totals could range from a trace to .25" and sleet totals will range from a trace to .25". The highest totals look to be in eastern Oklahoma with western Oklahoma seeing very little accumulation. Keep in mind, it doesn't take much ice to cause slick and hazardous roadways.

Stay tuned as we continue to analyze the latest data with this evolving storm.
