Emergency crews have capped a gas leak Wednesday afternoon in Del City.

According to the Del City Fire Department, at about 2 p.m., a construction crew hit a gas line at 15th and Howard in Del City.

Gold's Gym, Family Dollar, and a thrift store in the area were evacuated as crews worked to cap the leak.

Crews were able to repair the leak at about 3 p.m.
