Emergency crews have contained a fuel leak after a tractor-trailer rig rolled off I-40 eastbound in the exit ramp to Harrah Road.
The 18-wheeler was carrying 8,000 gallons of gasoline when it flipped just east of Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City Fire Maj. Tammy McKinney said Wednesday morning that the leak has been contained and authorities were awaiting a crew to clean up the spill.
The driver was taken by EagleMed to a local hospital. The driver's condition is unknown. No other vehicles were involved.
The on and off-ramps to and from Harrah/Newalla from I-40 are closed until crews can clean up the spill. I-40 itself is open in both directions.
