NICHOLS HILLS, Oklahoma -

Wednesday, counselors with Catholic Charities will be back out at a school where a student was hit and killed during the morning drop off.

The accident happened just before 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. Christ the King Catholic School held a prayer service for all the students inside the church an hour after it happened.

They also had counselors and priests on hand to help the children, parents and staff here as well. Many of the parents and students showed up at the school to see fire trucks and police cars blocking the entrance to the junior high side.

Soon, they would find out that a fellow classmate, a Pre-K student, had been hit and killed during the morning drop off. Police say the father was dropping off his children, when one of them was accidentally hit by the car he was driving.

The student has been identified as 4-year-old Quaid Thomas Dolan, one of six brothers who attend Christ the King Catholic school.

The news hit the close knit catholic school community hard, with several parents opting to pick up their children from the school - so they could console them and talk to them about what happened.

Meanwhile, over at the Archdiocese, the Archbishop prayed for the family during the morning mass.

"Our hearts really are breaking for the Dolan family, and for the entire Christ The King community," said Tina Dzurisin, Communications Director for the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. "We've been lifting them up in prayer all morning."

While friends and family grieved the loss, there were prayers and offers of support coming in from all over the globe - for the school, the students and most importantly, for the entire Dolan family.

Right now, funeral arrangements for the Quaid Dolan are pending.
