Officials have given the 'all clear' following a bomb threat at a Putnam City school Monday afternoon.

Putnam City school officials evacuated students at Western Oaks Middle and Elementary Schools in Bethany after a bomb threat was called into police.

The school is located at 7300 N.W. 23rd Street. Bethany police received the call just after 1 p.m. Monday. The nearly 1,400 students were immediately evacuated to a nearby shopping center and then bussed over to Putnam City West.

Police did a sweep of the school and found nothing.

Students who ride a bus home from Western Oaks Middle or Elementary Schools, remained on their normal bus schedule Monday. The only difference is they left from Putnam City West. All other students who do not ride the bus needed to be picked up at Putnam City West, using the main entrance at their normal leave time.

Bethany police have arrested a juvenile for calling in the bomb threat, and they believe other kids were possibly involved in this hoax.
