Man Seriously Injured In NW OKC Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that injured one person Monday morning in northwest Oklahoma City.

According to police, officers are responding to the shooting at the Lakewood Park apartments, located in the 6500 block of W. Wilshire.

Police say a 34-year-old man was shot. He was transported to the OU Medical Center in serious condition.

The victim told police that the suspect asked him for a lighter. When he told the suspect he didn't have one, the suspect reportedly shot him in the leg.

Police say the victim has an outstanding burglary warrant. So he will be taken into custody after he's been treated at the hospital.
