OKLAHOMA CITY -

A woman who said she was in an abusive, controlling relationship is sharing her story to help other women.

Keisha Osborne said the relationship could have ended her life had Oklahoma City Police not arrested the guy this week. Thomas McCreight was arrested on Tuesday, on complaints of stalking, damaging property and possessing stolen property.

"One of us was going to die," Osborne said.

Osborne hopes even one person can learn from her mistakes.

"If they hadn't gotten him that night, yeah one of us would be dead or maybe both," she added.

Osborne said she recently broke things off with McCreight and he snapped. Oklahoma City Police arrested McCreight this week after they said he busted out Osborne's car's rear window with a brick and then returned an hour later to break out the driver's window the same way.

"He tagged my house and he passed his threats. He stole my phone. He called people in my contacts and he threatened all those people," Osborne said about her ex.

The police officer reported hearing McCreight say, "I'm gonna blow the house up," as well as, "I'm gonna roll by her house, six deep, and shoot that bi*** up," and "If I can't have you, no one else will."

"Never in a million years would I have thought that the person I met a year ago is actually this person that I'm going to war with," Osborne said.

The 34-year-old said McCreight's arrest was the escalation of a year-long, destructive relationship that centered around him controlling her every move.

"I was almost his remote. He could make me do what he wanted me to do when he wanted me to do it," Osborne explained.

Court records show McCreight was on a deferred sentence for domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon from a 2013 case when he was arrested this week. Osborne said fear kept her in the relationship with McCreight and sharing her story is helping her regain control of her life. She now has an emergency protective order against him.
