I-40 In Del City Back Open After Crews Repair Hole In Bridge

All lanes of I-40 in Del City are back open after emergency crews repaired a hole in a bridge on Thursday.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, eastbound I-40 was narrowed to one lane at S.E. 15th Street just before 6 a.m. Thursday, after crews discovered a hole in the Crutcho Creek Bridge.

The eastbound I-40 on-ramp from Sunnylane Road was also closed. ODOT officials say a 2x2 ft. hole was discovered in the right lane of eastbound I-40.

At about 2 p.m., all lanes of I-40 and the on-ramp are back open after crews repaired the hole.
