Oklahoma City Police have peacefully ended a standoff with an armed suspect on the city's northwest side, Wednesday night.

It began Wednesday afternoon as police were trying to serve a burglary warrant at a home, located near NW 122nd St. and Robinson Ave.

According to Oklahoma City police, bail bondsmen were attempting to pick up the suspect, 31-year-old James Jones, on outstanding warrants when they spotted him exiting a home, where he apparently stayed with the mother of his child.

Jones spied the bondsmen, ran back into the home and holed up inside with his child's grandmother. Children were reportedly allowed to leave the home.

Just after 7 p.m., police told News 9 that Jones released the female from the home. She was treated for a medical issue. Shortly thereafter police were able to take Jones into custody without incident.

The OCPD TAC Team and Bomb Squad were training on Wednesday and have been activated to assist with this incident.
