Your 2 Cents: "Adults" Misbehaving At Sporting Events

OSU's Marcus Smart deserves the three game suspension he got for pushing a Texas Tech fan, but the bigger problem, in my opinion, is fans acting like jerks at athletic events, insulting the athletes.

OSU's Marcus Smart deserves the three game suspension he got for pushing a Texas Tech fan, but the bigger problem, in my opinion, is fans acting like jerks at athletic events, insulting the athletes.

Here's what you had to say...

Quinnton first:

"I rarely agree with you on these, but you hit the nail on the head with this one."

Thanks, I think.

Catherine writes:

"As usual, Kelly, you bring common sense to this fiasco. Jeff Orr is a middle aged bully who probably couldn't run the length of the court!"

Marie writes:

"..adults seem to become public Jr Hi brats at sporting events. I can't imagine what their family's life is like."

From Neal:

"It's very difficult not to get emotional during a tough game and some wannabe is in your face."

But Kristi asks:

"Has Smart had ANY discipline at all while at OSU?

Ridiculously spoiled and undisciplined."

Keith writes:

"..you said it well and you would have said the same if it had been an OU player as well... way to stay fair.. thanks Kelly."

Sonya says:

"Not only the athlete but their parents as well listening to adults calling their kid names."

Matt says of over zealous fans:

"It sure shows a lack of class when you start harassing the players."

And finally, I like this from Charlie:

"There is a fine line between cheering for your team and being a bully.

As an adult I am gonna stand with Marcus and other collegiate kids as if they are my own!"
