A suspect in a stolen vehicle led police officers on a pursuit early Tuesday morning in Norman and Oklahoma City.

According to Norman police, at about 5:40 a.m., officers responded to the report of a stolen vehicle in the 800 block of E. Brooks Street. The victim told police that he started his vehicle, left it running so it could warm up, and went back inside. But when he returned, he found out that the vehicle had been stolen.

Norman officers later saw a vehicle matching the description of the stolen one entering Interstate 35 Northbound at Lindsey Street. They attempted to stop that vehicle at I-35 and Indian Hills. However, the driver took off. That's when the pursuit began.

The chase continued northbound on I-35 into Oklahoma City. Norman officers then requested the assistance of Oklahoma City police.

The pursuit eventually ended in the area of S.W. 59th and Walker. Police say the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Glenn Gregory, ran from the vehicle on foot.

Gregory was taken into custody a short distance away. He has been booked into the F. DeWayne Beggs Detention Center on several charges, including unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, felony eluding a police officer, driving under suspension, and a valid Oklahoma County felony warrant.
