An Edmond mother is now looking for the good samaritan who found her purse in the grocery store parking lot.

Wendy Easterling had $1000 in her wallet when she left the purse on a shopping cart at the Uptown Market in Edmond Sunday night.

"We were in a bit of a rush," Easterling, who didn't notice her purse was gone until she went to pay for dinner at a drive-thru 15 minutes later, said.

Easterling got her purse back after an Uptown customer found it in the parking lot and returned it to the store.

"Nothing was touched," Easterling, who wants to thank the person who turned in her purse, added.

The Edmond mother is using the cash to pay for a large shed being delivered this week. It will serve as an art studio for her and her daughter.

"What we do is create things," said Easterling about her passion. "It brings us joy."

Easterling is hoping Uptown Market can help identify the woman who turned in her purse with surveillance cameras.

"I don't know who you are," said Easterling. "I want to thank you."

The Edmond mother wants to give the good samaritan a piece of her artwork, so she is reminded of how much she has helped out Easterling's family.

Uptown Market tells News 9, the good Samaritan can leave their contact information at their store.
