Freezing Drizzle, Light Snow To Cause Travel Issues In Parts Of OK

A winter weather advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Monday. The main concern will be for freezing drizzle and light snow.

As of 9:30 a.m., 20 Oklahoma counties, including Oklahoma County, Cleveland County, Logan County, and more, are under a winter weather advisory until 6 p.m.

Freezing drizzle and fog caused numerous travel issues and wrecks Monday morning. Many school closed because of the drizzle in the southern part of the state.

Freezing drizzle/ice will continue off and on through Monday evening in parts of Oklahoma, including the Oklahoma City metro area. The roads will be worse where the drizzle is heavier.

Some snow is expected late Monday into Monday evening. The snow will move out of northwest Oklahoma late afternoon, and push southeast towards Oklahoma City Monday evening.
 
Most locations affected will see a dusting with as much as two inches possible. Accumulations will be light, but still enough for more travel problems.
