Logan County authorities say an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.1 caused minor damage to the county jail.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office said Sunday that the earthquake caused several cracks in the walls of the jail in Guthrie, but that no injuries are reported and that inmates were not moved and remain at the jail.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the earthquake at 8:16 p.m. Saturday about four miles southwest of Langston, some eight miles east of Guthrie and about 30 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. The U.S.G.S. initially estimated the magnitude at 4.4, but later revised it downward.

A second quake with an estimated magnitude of 2.8 was recorded at 10:55 p.m. in the same area and caused no reported damage.
