A car wreck in Love County killed one passenger and injured two others early Saturday morning.

The wreck occurred around 1:45 a.m. Saturday on I-35.

According to the report, Zachary Bumgarner, 19, was driving with three other passengers southbound on I-35 when he lost control of the vehicle due to ice on the roads. The vehicle went off the right side of the road, overturned and came to a rest on its side.

Rusty Sherman, 25, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death was due to massive injuries.

Two passengers, Ashley Taylor, 22, and Daniel Perez, 20, were treated at Mercy Hospital in Marietta, Oklahoma and later released.

Bumgarner was not injured.

The accident report stated the cause of collision as "unsafe speed for ice or snow on roadway."

The Marietta Police Department, Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Department and Marietta Fire Department assisted the Oklahoma Highway Patrol with this investigation.

All passengers were wearing their seatbelts, but the airbags did not deploy.
