No school can mean parents have to rearrange their schedules or find someone to look after their children while they're at work.

But there are some options for parents looking for day care on a snow day. One place kids can stay during the day is inside the Boys and Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County.

A huge rainbow-colored parachute never looked so fun. Kids of all ages circled around it at the Boys and Girls Club in Oklahoma City.

"When I'm at home, I normally just play on my computer or just watch TV," said 9-year-old Keen Nguyen. "And what I do here is I stay active here, a lot."

And another spot where your children can stay active without you with them 24/7 is at the brand new YMCA in Edmond's Mitch Park.

"It's been busy every day since Monday, but today with a snow day, we're seeing a lot of families," said Mitch Roark in charge of the Mitch Park YMCA.

"Me being a parent, you want your kids to get worn out so that they don't drive you crazy, and here's a great place for a lot of different activities."

Roark says the center has averaged about 1,500 people each day since its grand opening this week.

From playing basketball and running to splashing in the indoor water park, kids are supervised by staff members in each area.

"They were out in the snow earlier and it was freezing, so we packed them in the car, loaded up and came on in," said Stacey Pitts, mother of three in Edmond.

"I think it's always good to keep the kids active, and you know it's fun to have a snow day also, just for them to have fun and for the adults to have some alone time also."

Anything out of the house while still indoors is what kids enjoy most on a snow day.

"It's better than just sitting at your house, because you're just sitting at your house," said 12-year-old Jaylinn Mercado, who has been coming to the Boys and Girls Club for about three years.

"I could've stayed home today, but I was like, I want to come! It's just that like I really love it here."

The Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA do charge a fee for you to bring your kids.

And there are also churches like First Christian Church in Guthrie which offer "Snow Care" for a $15 fee per child located at 402 East Noble.
