A Hugo man, already in jail facing rape and molestation charges, is being charged with other child-sex crimes out of South Carolina.

Sandro Ramos, 39, is booked in the Choctaw County jail awaiting trial for first-degree rape and four counts of lewd molestation that occurred in Choctaw County in 2013.

On Monday, a warrant was issued for Ramos on behalf of the Simpsonville Police Department in South Carolina on a separate abuse count.

Authorities say Ramos is a gymnastics instructor and owns Gymnastics and More in Hugo, Okla. He was arrested after an investigation by the Choctaw County Sheriff's Office, with help from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) in Oct. 2013 for first-degree rape of a child under the age of 14.

Four counts of lewd molestation were added to the charges after a court hearing in December.

That same investigation led police to track down a potential victim in South Carolina. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) was contacted and helped in locating the victim, one of Ramos' former students. The student informed police that she had been sexually abused by Ramos.

The investigations in both Oklahoma and South Carolina are ongoing, while police work to find out if Ramos abused any other children. Authorities in South Carolina plan to extradite Ramos back to the state after the case in Choctaw County is competed.

Ramos was a member of the Oklahoma Gymnastics Board and has coached gymnastics in Florida, South Carolina and Oklahoma. He has lived in Oklahoma since 2011.
