With a second round of snow and ice on the way, police and insurance professionals have advice for those who get into trouble out on the roadways.

Police said conditions outdoors may force them to put out an alert saying they will only be responding to "injury accidents." So it will be up to those involved to swap information when it comes to "non injury" accidents.

Dennis Chaumont has been a State Farm Insurance Agent in Edmond for 41 years. He said your cell phone can be your best friend.

"Take pictures, take a photo of the insurance verification card. Any pertinent information. Get the names of witnesses, get the photo ID of witnesses, take a photo of the other driver," Oklahoma City Police Spokesperson Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said, while police said they will only respond to injury accidents.

If you are in an accident and feel you are in danger, call 911.
