Two Former OK County Jailers Charged, Accused Of Beating Inmate

Two former Oklahoma County jailers are charged with assault and battery charges after allegedly beating an inmate.

John Jacobson and Jose Botello, both 29, were arrested and fired from their jobs following the incident that occurred at the Oklahoma County Detention Center on Dec. 1.

According to court documents, Jacobson and Botello allegedly used unreasonable force on jail inmate Cortez Meadows. The two are accused of intentionally causing injuries to Meadows' head, shoulders, wrist and back, as well as forcing his face into a cell floor covered in urine.
