Here is a quick look at OKC Metro area's winter weather prediction for the next week.

A cold front is pushing in. Behind the front, there will be some drizzle and freezing drizzle around today into tonight. Areas across northern Oklahoma are reporting some freezing drizzle this morning. Be especially careful on elevated surfaces into tonight as temperatures drop below freezing. Keep your News 9 weather mobile app positioned and opened to keep up to date.

The system we have been talking about for Sunday could produce an inch of snow, but a dusting is more likely. Best chances will be across the south and east.

Tuesday's storm will bring a lot more wind and a mixed bag of precipitation for the metro from rain -freezing rain - sleet then change to snow. Heaviest snow totals look to be across NW and northern OK.

It will turn much colder after this system rolls through.

Thursday/Friday's system may be the heaviest event for the state including the OKC metro. Snow - sleet and ice are showing up as the main variables.
