Power Restored After Large Outage Strikes NW OKC, Piedmont

Over a thousand OG&E customers reported power outages on the northwest side of Oklahoma City and Piedmont, Thursday night.

During the outage, all of Quail Springs Mall reported losing power.

Officials tell News 9 the outage was caused by a "circuit issue" and crews actively worked to isolate and repair the issue.

According to OG&E's system watch, approximately 1,465 customers were without power at the peak of the outage.

As of 8:45 p.m., crews had whittled down the total outage numbers to less than 100 customers. The rest of the power was restored around 9:15 p.m.
