Dozens of OSU Political Science students took in President Obama's State Of The Union speech together Tuesday night, and they gave feedback in a unique way.

Dr. Brandon Lenoir had his students use what are called "Perception Analyzer's" to grade The President's Speech. The gadgets have knobs on them, and they score from one to 100. If a student liked or disliked what the President said, they would rate it by turning the knob on the Analyzer to the right or the left. The right meaning good and the left meaning bad.

"By using an actual event, the President's speech as a learning tool, the students will not only learn the fundamentals of what we're teaching in class, but it helps them become politically active," Professor Lenoir said.
