Arctic Air Lingers In Oklahoma Ahead Of Warm Weekend Warm Front

Posted: Updated:

Arctic air will cling to the Sooner state for one more morning. While temperatures Friday morning will hit bottom in the single digits and lower teens, at least the winds will be light.  This saves us from brutally cold wind chills.

Southwest winds will increase 15-30 mph Friday afternoon, and with low relative humidity values the fire danger will once again be high.

High temperatures on Saturday will climb into the 50s and 60s with lower and upper 60s expected for Sunday with plenty of sunshine.

Unfortunately, the fun in the sun comes to an end on Monday as yet another Arctic Front barrels through the state. Very light snow showers will be possible Monday night and Tuesday morning with temperatures remaining below 32 degrees in many areas until Wednesday afternoon.
