WOODS COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A Fort Worth, Texas, man was killed when his pickup truck collided with a train in Woods County, Oklahoma, Tuesday morning.

It happened just after 10 a.m. on County Road Dewey (E0239), just east of N2470 in Woods County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2010 Nissan Titan Pickup truck driven by 53-year-old Teodulo Ramirez was eastbound on the roadway when it failed to yield to a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Freight train.

The pickup was then struck by the train, which was running in a southeasterly direction on the railroad tracks.

Ramirez wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown out of his pickup during the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was injured in the crash.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
