CUSHING, Oklahoma -

Cushing police are looking for a man who injured one person while robbing a family restaurant.

It happened at the Steer Inn Family Restaurant located at 1340 E. Main Street in Cushing on Sunday, January 19 at closing time.

Investigators say the restaurant surveillance video shows an armed man attacked a female employee from behind as she was locking up for the night. The suspect then took two money bags from the employee before fleeing the scene.

The employee was transported to Hillcrest Hospital for injuries she sustained in the attack. She was later transported via AirEvac to Tulsa. Her condition is unknown.

Police say the man was wearing blue jeans, and a dark colored hoodie. A photo is expected to be released by police soon.

Cushing Police and members of the Payne County Sheriff's Department canvassed the area following the incident.

Crime stoppers of Cushing are offering a $2000.00 reward for the identification and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the robbery. If you have any information on the robbery please contact Chief Tully Folden or Officer Carson Watts at 918-225-1212 or submit a crime tip via the Cushing Police Department web page.
