Fire Consumes Several Structures In Grandfield

Three structures were lost in a large fire in Grandfield, Okla., located in the southwest Oklahoma, Sunday afternoon.

Three structures were lost in a large fire in Grandfield, Okla., located in the southwest Oklahoma, Sunday afternoon.

The call went out around 1:30 p.m. The Frederick Fire Department, along with several volunteer fire departments in the area, responded to the blaze.

According to reports, the fire started in one structure and spread to the others. No word yet on whether or not the structures were homes or businesses or a combination of the two.

While no humans were injured in the blaze, Lawton television station KSWO reports that some pets were lost in the fire. They also have reported that the fire may have started in a carport. The blaze has been contained.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates have not been released at this time.
