Midwest City Police Seek Suspects In Drive-By Shooting

Midwest City police are searching for suspects in a drive-by shooting that injured one person Friday night.

Officers spent at least three hours searching for suspects after shots were fired just after 8 p.m. Friday in the area of N.E. 10th and Douglas.

Police say two cars were involved in the shooting. The suspects fled the scene. They were spotted by officers about a mile away a short time later.

They were able to escape after taking off on foot.

"We don't know what caused the incident at hand that's still under investigation, although, hopefully we will be able to resolve that soon," Capt. Mark Teply said.

Investigators say the victim's injuries were not life threatening. Officers are still searching for the suspects.
