This is cedar pollen season and with the cooler weather and lighter northwest winds, conditions are not too bad today. But it won't last long.

The forecast calls for high amounts of cedar pollen to move back up across the state with warmer and very windy conditions expected over the weekend. Those in central and southern Oklahoma are most likely to experience the Mountain Cedar invasion.

Mountain Cedar is well known for how irritating it can be. Main symptoms are watering and itchy eyes, itchy skin and nostrils, congestion and runny nose.

Mountain Cedar can be found in the Arbuckle mountains in south central Oklahoma and across central Texas. If the winds are right this time of year, these thousands of pollinating tree pour out a massive cloud of irritation.

Fire Danger will also elevate to very high across much of the state.
