Police arrested three people Wednesday who are accused of possession of meth near the Del City High School.

According to Del City police, officers served a search warrant at a home in the 1600 block of Hanna Drive for narcotics. The home is located about 955 feet from the Del City High School.

During the search, officers found a backpack that contained a small black case with a small plastic bag. The plastic bag contained about .5 grams of a white crystal substance, later tested positive for methamphetamine.

One of the suspects, 32-year-old Christopher Patton, confessed the backpack and the plastic bag containing meth belonged to him.

In the bedrooms and bathroom of the house, officers say they found several other items, including a half marijuana joint, three digital scales, cigarette rolling papers, a bend spoon with residue, marijuana residue in a metal tin, a plastic bag containing about .4 grams of a white crystal substance later tested positive for meth, a glass meth pipe with residue, and more.

A second suspect, 51-year-old Bob Morris, confessed the marijuana in the house belonged to him, but denied any knowledge of meth being in the house. He later confessed to living in the house and using narcotics.

A third suspect living at the house, 48-year-old Shari Copeland, was also taken into custody.

All three were arrested on several charges, including possession of CDS (meth) within 1000 feet of school, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
