Small Quake Recorded Near Chandler

A small earthquake struck near the town of Chandler, Okla. Thursday evening.

The 3.1 magnitude temblor struck just after 5 p.m. six miles west of Chandler, or about 32 miles east northeast of the OKC metro.

The quake was recorded about two miles deep. No damage or injuries have been reported with the earthquake.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes between magnitudes 2.5 and three are generally the smallest ones felt by humans.
