Former OKC Doctor Charged With Nine Counts Of Murder

A former Oklahoma doctor was charged with nine counts of first-degree murder and multiple counts of distributing controlled, dangerous substances on Wednesday.

Dr. William Valuck, 71, is accused of doling out extremely large amounts of prescription drugs, resulting in several deaths. Valuck was arrested in late December in Texas.

Drug agents say Valuck distributed 12,000 more prescriptions for controlled dangerous drugs than the state's second largest prescriber.

Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Drug Enforcement Administration agents had been investigating Valuck for a year after a series of deadly overdoses.
