Police Release Woman Arrested In OKC Jewelry Store Heist

Oklahoma City Police have released a woman who was arrested in connection with the robbery of a jewelry store on the northwest side of the city.

Oklahoma City Police have released a woman who was arrested in connection with the robbery of a jewelry store on the northwest side of the city.

On the morning of January 2, two people with guns rushed into Higgins Jewelers on near N.W. 122nd Street and MacArthur Boulevard. They stole nearly $53,000 in jewelry, cash, wallets and purses before running out of the store.

The next day, police arrested 50-year-old suspect Richard Todd Mitchell. Police say he's the man seen without a mask on surveillance video from the store.

Police arrested 19-year-old Brittany R. Calton on Tuesday, but released her pending further investigation. Detectives say they are still looking for an additional suspect.
