SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -

A 9-year-old boy has been diagnosed with a rare form of prostate cancer.

Trevor Storie began complaining of a stomach ache, and not being about to use the bathroom on December 14. One day later, doctors in Shawnee had Trevor rushed to OU Medical Center's Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Doctors there diagnosed Trevor with prostate cancer.

Trevor's been through two surgeries already, and faces 43 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. His mother Zona says although her son is a huge Oklahoma State fan, their family will always be grateful to the doctors and staff who have been taking care of Trevor since he got sick.

"The way they've treated us, and the way they've taken us in and made us part of their family and assured us he would be okay, that's what we needed to hear," Zona said.

When the "Bedlam Zone" in Edmond found out Monday about Trevor's plight, they gave us a large bag filled with an OSU shirt, jersey and cap, to take to Trevor.

Zona Storie says Oklahoma Head Coach Bob Stoops also sent Trevor a Sooners cap and other Sooner gear.

If you would like to help this family get through this ordeal, a Trevor Storie Medical Fund has been established, and you can contribute at any Vision Bank location.
