Just about every piece of advice for entrepreneurs goes back to three things: location, location and location. And OKC is becoming a top location for many new businesses; one in particular.

"There [are] greener pastures in Oklahoma city," said SIVI CEO Ashok Kamal.

Just about every entrepreneur thinks about the green.

"The money is just as green here as it is in Manhattan," said Kamal.

And that is why Kamal is leaving New York Cit and unpacking in OKC.

"They're also hyper competitive and extremely expensive," said Kamal. "We think these areas [OKC] are primed to be great tech hubs," said Kamal.

Ashok and his business partner Nik created an online educational platform for entrepreneurs called SIVI.

"There were a number of mistakes we made in 10 years and we want to help others avoid those mistakes," said Kamal.

It is a global business plan that will be run from their new OKC hub; a $340,000 investment made by Venturespur and other Oklahoma investors.

"Investors here want to invest locally and see businesses grow here locally," said Venturespur Co-Founder Kraettli L. Epperson.

It has brought attention to Oklahoma City's business appeal. OKC was named the 5th best place to start a business by Entrepreneurs.com and recently named 8th by Forbes for top regions to watch in 2014.

"It's a bluer ocean here. New York is a mature startup eco system, OKC is a growing startup ecosystem," said Kamal.

And that makes SIVI a startup for all.

"Headquartering here can prove what you can do in OKC," said Epperson.
