Tulsa Police Department's Sex Crimes investigators arrested a man Thursday evening accused of making lewd proposals to a minor.

Detectives began their investigation in December after being contacted by the victim's parent. Police say a 14-year-old, male victim had received multiple sexual related texts.

Detectives identified Tyler Long, 29, as the one sending the texts.

Over a two week period, detectives used the victim's cell phone and exchanged multiple text messages with Long.

On January 2, Long arranged to meet the detective, who he believed was the teen in the 8300 block of East 71st Street. Sex Crimes detectives took Long into custody when he arrived.

Long was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of lewd proposal to a minor and attempted lewd proposal to a minor.

He is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond. Jail records show he has a court appearance set for January 9.
