Car Crashes Into Midwest City House

A Midwest City family's new year began with a crash and a scare when a car plowed through the wall of their home.

Just after midnight, a driver crashed into a house at N.E. 16th Street and Melinda Lane. The homeowner says he and his family were sitting in their living room when the vehicle hit the home.

An 8 year old who was in the house was taken to the hospital to be checked out. It's not known if the child was seriously injured.

Police have not released the name of the driver, or said if that person was arrested.
