An earthquake shook up residents in northern Oklahoma, Saturday evening.

The quake struck at approximately 8:41 p.m., about seven miles northeast of the town of Medford, or about 96 miles north of the Oklahoma City metro area.

Recorded at a depth of just under three miles, the earthquake weighed in at 3.4 on the Richter scale, according to the United States Geological Survey.

However, the Oklahoma Geological Survey reports the earthquake was 3.8 in magnitude.

No damage or injuries have been reported with this quake.

According to the United States Geological Survey, earth quakes with magnitudes from 2.5 to 3 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans.
