OKC Police Released Identity Of Standoff Suspect Who Killed Self

Oklahoma City police released the name of the man who they say beat his wife with a rifle then turned the gun on himself.

Michael Scott Pena, 26, was found dead by police following a nearly five hour stand-off on Saturday, December 21.

Police got the 911 call just before 1 p.m. to come to the 18000 Block of Montoro Way. When police arrived, they say they saw the man beating his wife. Then, police say Pena ran back inside the couple's home and barricaded himself inside.

When SWAT members and a robot forced their way into the home just after 6 p.m., police heard a gunshot. They later found Pena dead due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
