It's the most wonderful time of the year, and we have a special Christmas treat for you this Sunday.

David Brooks from the Made in Oklahoma Coalition shares with us a delicious and festive recipe.

Soft and Fluffy Christmas Cookies

These classic cookies taste better than anything you'll find in a bakery, and as a bonus, they are fun to make!

· One cup granulated sugar

· One cup powdered sugar

· One cup Hiland Unsalted Butter

· One cup shortening

· Two eggs

· One teaspoon Griffin's Vanilla

· Four and one-half cups Shawnee Mills All-Purpose Flour

· Three-fourths teaspoon salt

Preparation:

1. Cream together sugars, butter and shortening. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing until fully combined. Add vanilla, mixing to combine. Next, combine the flour and salt, add one-half cup at a time, until incorporated.

2. Roll dough into large (two tablespoons) balls, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press each ball down with a glass dipped in sugar.

3. Bake six to eight minutes at 375 degrees. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to cool.

4. Frost and decorate with sprinkles.
