Icy Weather Delays, Cancels Flights At Will Rogers Airport

Stranded, stuck and canceled were countless travelers, who found their flights were put on hold thanks to the weather.

Flying out of Oklahoma City wasn't as easy as grabbing your plane ticket or checking in your luggage.

"It would be nice to get here and just go through the line and just go on the plane," said traveler Jack McCann.

"But that didn't work out."

Flights weren't working out for thousands of travelers. Take one of the busiest traveling days of the year, and add in ice, and you'll find instant delays.

"Trying to get to Minneapolis and then Williston, North Dakota, but got here this morning and found out the flight was canceled," McCann said.

Terminals turned into campsites, as passengers waited, slept and hoped for good news.

Jeremy Tan had been waiting since Friday to get to Los Angeles for a wedding. But with all the canceled flights causing more canceled flights, he says he'll be lucky if he can make it to the reception.

"They try to look for me other flights, Delta and American, but everything's booked up solid," Tan said. "They tried to have me come by standby this morning again, but because of the other flights that were canceled, I can't get through."
