Tulsa Police are looking for a man who shot a 30-year-old resident of an apartment complex Friday morning and then ran away.

Officer Leland Ashley says the resident approached a man about the burglary at his apartment in the 2200 block of South Nogales just after 8:30 a.m.

They say the man pulled out a handgun and shot the resident three times.  Officers said the man then fired two shots at a car in which the victim's wife was sitting.  She was not injured.

The man, described as a black male, 25-years of age, wearing a black coat with a hooded sweatshirt underneath and blue jeans ran away, according to police.

The victim was taken by personal vehicle to the OSU Medical Center in downtown Tulsa.  There is no word on his condition.

Eugene Fields Elementary school at 2249 South Phoenix was placed in lockdown according to Chris Payne with Tulsa Public Schools.  He says the lockdown was lifted 30 minutes later.
