Service members stationed at Fort Sill return home for the holidays.

The soldiers will be boarding flights all throughout the day on Thursday, but before they do that they're getting to take part in something very special.

The YMCA Military Welcome Center at Will Rogers World Airport will be open early Thursday as busloads of soldiers stationed at Fort Sill begin arriving. Soldiers are expected to board outbound flights throughout the day Thursday and Friday.

Volunteers and other military service organizations will staff the center, greeting soldiers and making them comfortable as they spend the night in the airport awaiting flights.

The center offers seating, TV, complimentary Internet access and cell phone usage. It also provides free snacks and beverages, video games and other means of entertainment at no cost to traveling military personnel and their families.

Many of these service members are in basic training right now, and for some it's been months since they've seen their families.
