The discovery of skeletal remains has created a lot of uncertainty for the family of 16-year-old Jaray Wilson.

She went missing from Weatherford in Oct. 2012. Several leads in her missing person case developed on Tuesday morning as investigators searched an area two miles north of the Weatherford airport.

"This whole town has got her right in their heart and we are going to stay that way no matter what happens," said Brian Gayer.

Gayer is considered a part of the Wilson family. He's been with Jaray Wilson's parents since agents first notified them that it's possible their daughter's remains were found.

Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Human Trafficking Agents said a tip in the 14-month investigation into Wilson's disappearance led them to the remote area.

"Until you are told definitely, this is what happened you have hope for the other," said Gayer.

Gayer said the uncertainty will last until the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner makes a positive identification. The same informant also led them to 19-year-old Tucker McGee. OBN agents arrested McGee in connection with Wilson's disappearance.

Although McGee is being held on a murder complaint at the Custer County Jail, McGee's friends came to his defense on his Facebook page, claiming he is innocent. None of them agreed to interview with News 9.

McGee is expected to be arraigned on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Custer County Court. District Attorney Dennis Smith declined to comment on the case until he can review the evidence. In the meantime, Gayer is asking the community to turn their attention to Wilson's parents who are in turmoil with the day-to-day developments.

"All they want is for their daughter to come home, whether it be earthly or heavenly," Gayer said.

A fund has been set up at the First National Bank of Weatherford to help curb expenses during this time of uncertainty. Donations can be made at 1100 E. Main Weatherford, OK or by phone at (580) 772-5575.
