Friday was a special day for a metro woman who nearly died in a car crash but was saved by a Good Samaritan. News 9 featured her story Thursday night, and that Samaritan just happened to see it.

Allison has been waiting to meet this good Samaritan for more than six months. Her hope was to find him before Christmas.

Moments before her reunion with the man she says saved her life, a nervous Allison Mullins has a lot going through her mind.

"I have all these things to say," said Mullins. "You know, I just want to thank him so much. He really is an angel."

It's the moment Allison has been waiting for over six months. Barely into the doorway of her grandparents Norman home, the two embrace.

"Thanks you so much," said Allison.

"So good to see you this way. How are you doing," said Jim Deal. "You look a lot different from the last time I saw you. This is a blessing."

It was around 7 a.m. on June 4. Jim Deal was driving near Northwest Expressway and I-44 when he saw Allison on the side of the road.

"I worked my way over to the left lane, made a U-turn, made another U-turn back in the Olive Garden parking lot," said Deal.

Jim couldn't see Allison's car because it was flipped in the ditch. He thought he was about to get in the middle of a domestic dispute after seeing a man drive out the parking lot.

But that wasn't the case.

"I just couldn't drive by and leave her," said Deal.

"He sat down in the grass with me and he said it was going to be okay, that the ambulance was coming," said Mullins.

"You're a remarkable young woman. I thought what it took to crawl out of that car, crawl out of that ditch, get to where you were at," said Deal. "Just the will to live. You're the real story here," Deal said to Allison.

But, although Allison calls Jim her hero, Jim says he was just in the right place at the right time.

"She's my Christmas blessing," Deal said.

Allison tells us she's an up and coming country singer and song writer. She's received a hand written letter from Reba McEntire asking to hear her music. She says she's preparing a CD for the country music star.
