The Jenks Trojans needed a 76-yard touchdown with less than a minute remaining to defeat Union in the regular season meeting between the two teams. There were no such dramatic moments Thursday night at Chapman Stadium in Tulsa.

The Trojans burst out to a 21-7 lead in the first quarter and cruised past the Redskins, 38-22, to cap an undefeated season and claim the school's 14th state championship.

Steven Parker was the star of the game for the Trojans. The two-way star finished with 185 all-purpose yards and a touchdown, and had the game-clinching interception with 3:07 remaining in the game. The top prospect in Oklahoma has not made a decision on where he'll attend school next fall.

Parker was terrific, but it was a team effort for the Trojans, especially on defense. Union scored on the first possession of the game, courtesy of a 56-yard touchdown run from Mason Farquhar, but the Trojans held Union to just a single touchdown the rest of the way until late in the game.

Farquhar finished with 289 passing yards and 60 rushing yards. Oklahoma commits Carson Meier and Jeffery Mead had 108 and 91 yards receiving, respectively.

The Jenks defense held the Union rushing attack, led by Tyler Adkins, completely in check. Adkins had just two yards, while the Redskins managed just 80 as a team, 56 on a single run by Farquhar.

On the other side, Jenks running back Cameron Booty had a great game, racking up 176 yards and two touchdowns on the ground

After Farquhar's big run, Jenks rattled off three straight touchdown drives, including one that started at the Union 29-yard line after the Trojans stuffed a Redskins' fourth down attempt.

Union's Justin Silmon scored on a 17-yard touchdown run to end a wild first quarter with Jenks on top, 21-14. However, Jenks dominated the rest of the game as the Trojans defense locked in and shut down the Union offense. The Jenks offense did a good job of controlling the ball after building their lead, and an eight-yard scamper for a touchdown from quarterback Cooper Nunley just before the half was a huge blow to the Union psyche, as they went into the locker room trailing, 31-14.

Nunley finished the game a very efficient 11-of-16 for 206 yards and two scores.

A one-yard touchdown pass from Nunley to Riley Waldie late in the third quarter put the game on ice for the Trojans.
