A woman who nearly died in a horrific car accident in June and managed to pull herself out the wreckage is looking for the man she says saved her life. She just wants to tell him thank you.

It's been six months since that accident, and already Allison Mullins is defying the odds and improving faster than doctors said she would. But while her focus is on therapy and continuing to get better, she's also actively searching for the man who stopped to help her.

"I was feeling very, very weak. I was feeling almost like, ‘Is somebody going to find me?' If not, I'm scared for my life. I might die."

Mullins is thankful to be alive and she credits her survival to a man who stopped to help her when it seemed no one else would.

"I was out there by Northwest Expressway waving my hand, you know, just screaming to these cars just help me," Mullins said.

For the past six months, her mission has been to find the Good Samaritan who pulled over in a black Ford F-150 with chrome trim, called 911, and sat with her until help arrived.

It was June 3, a day of widespread flash flooding across the metro. Allison was on her way home late that night from an area lounge when her car flipped and landed in a ditch. She was about to get on the I-44 onramp toward Lawton before she lost control.

"I crawled quite a way. I crawled out of the ditch, over the highway, and across another field into the Olive Garden on the corner," said Mullins.

Her ankles were crushed. She had a broken arm, hand, back, ankle, knee cap, and an eye laceration. Doctors told her she may never walk again.

"It was devastating in the beginning, but I've always kept it in my mind how I wanted to walk again, and how I just wanted to get to where I was," said Mullins.

But, she says she wouldn't be here today if it weren't for a man who stopped and saved her life.

"If it weren't for him, if it weren't for him stopping, I don't know where I would be," said Mullins.

Allison has had two back surgeries. She says she has eight screws, two rods, and a cage in her back, as well as four screws and a plate in her right foot.
